  The purpose of this community is to share best practice and disseminate knowledge to support officers in local authorities and other public sector organisations in their efforts to improve data quality. The core focus will be around the data quality Key Lines of Enquiry set out by the Audit Commission but the community will also seek to cover broader initiatives and issues. The main point of contact for the community is Sue Statter via sstatter@mansfield.gov.uk It is intended to launch the site at a face to face event to be held in September 2007

  Local government's record in economic development is vast. But we now face a new economic climate and the sector's work needs to be adapted. The Local Government Association's (LGA) own local growth campaign kicks off in November and will engage councils and their business, public sector and voluntary sector partners in a debate on local economic growth in a new era. This Community of Practice supports the local growth campaign and provides a space for those working to drive local economic growth to share information, highlight good practice and network
